Executive Council Meeting Discusses Mission and Structure

The Executive Council of the Episcopal Church met from October 21-25 in Salt Lake City. During its meeting, the Council discussed the mission and structure of the church and took action on issues including the 2012 budget, the Anglican Covenant, and the renewing ministry of the Diocese of San Joaquin.
In her opening and closing remarks, the President of the House of Deputies emphasized the essential role of laypeople and clergy in church governance and the Five Marks of Mission as a guidepost and measuring stick for our work in the Episcopal Church and the Anglican Communion.
