House of Deputies

For the first time in memory, a bishop has been named as one of the closest advisors to the president of the House of Deputies. "Bishop Sean Rowe of the Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania has generously agreed to sit on my council and foster closer collaboration between the two houses of General Convention," said House of Deputies President Gay Clark Jennings.

"Bishop Rowe is a courageous leader, an expert in organizational development, and a good friend," said Jennings. "He is also the youngest bishop in the church, and I will rely on his counsel as we restructure the church for the 21st century. I am grateful for his willingness to serve."

Other members of the newly appointed Council of Advice include:

Vince Currie, Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast

Mike Glass, Diocese of California

Bryan Krislock, Diocese of Olympia

Sally Johnson, Diocese of Minnesota

Tom Little, Diocese of Vermont

Byron Rushing, Diocese of Massachusetts

Gregory Straub, Diocese of Easton

Winnie Varghese, Diocese of New York
