Dear Deputies and Alternate Deputies,

As we gear up for the 81st General Convention, I’m thrilled to share some exciting updates and resources with you all. But first, let me tell you, I’ve already started packing my bags! I’m so eager to see everyone that I’ve got my suitcases half-filled with summer blazers and comfy shoes for those long convention days. Don’t worry, though, I’ll make sure to leave some room for the important stuff, like House of Deputies swag and our collective sense of humor!

New Updates and Resources:

  1. Redesigned Website: We are excited to introduce our newly redesigned House of Deputies website. The modernized interface and improved navigation will ensure you have easy access to all necessary information and resources.
  2. Deputies Blog: We are launching a Deputies Blog to share insights and resolutions our deputies are looking forward to, from their own voices.
  3. Deputations Seating Chart: The much anticipated seating chart/floor map for the 81st General Convention is now available. Familiarize yourself with the layout and start preparing your decoration ideas!
  4. Voluntary Community Covenant: We invite you to sign the voluntary House of Deputies Community Covenant. By pledging to embody these principles, you contribute to shaping a General Convention environment of mutual respect, Spirit-led discernment, and faithful witness.
  5. Deputy Census: In advance of the 81st General Convention, we extend an invitation for every member of the House to participate in this census. By filling out this census, you contribute to a comprehensive picture of our diverse community. This is a vital step in recognizing and celebrating the unique perspectives within our House.
  6. Blue Book Podcast – Final Episode: The final episode of the Blue Book Podcast is now available. This episode focuses on the Confirmation of the Election of the Presiding Bishop and the critical work of the Dispatch of Business, offering valuable insights as we approach the General Convention.

I encourage you to take full advantage of these new resources and updates. Your participation and engagement are vital to our success.

Thank you for your continued dedication and commitment.

Faithfully,

President Julia Ayala Harris
